“The Mayakoba Farmer’s Market at El Pueblito is an entertaining family event held many weekends in the main square. It strives to highlight regional products, organic products, local seasonings, and healthy cuisine by the magnificent Mayakoba culinary team, offering delicious appetizers or take-home meals along with live music and all the magic of a traditional Mexican market.”
- El Pueblito
The gorgeous Mayakoba complex is mostly known for its breathtaking luxury resorts and upscale real estate. Located just 5 minutes north of Playa del Carmen, Mayakoba provides a stunning escape for people vacationing in the Riviera Maya. In 2015, Mayakoba opened its charming El Pueblito, an area designed to look like a traditional Mexican town, complete with a main square that they’ve been using to host a variety of private gatherings and community events.
The Farmer’s Market at El Pueblito features a variety of products sold at stands set around the main square, such as artisanal beers, locally made breads, plants for the garden, Mexican sweets and many other lovely items.
This Saturday’s Farmer’s Market is May 14 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Click here to follow the market’s event page on Facebook to keep up with any updates or potential changes.
Not only does El Pueblito at Mayakoba offer their Farmer’s Markets, they also have numerous events open to the public every month. At the beginning of each month, they post the event calendar right on their Facebook page. As you can see in May 2016’s calendar, they offer events like movie nights, yoga, fiestas and more!
